It happens randomly. I'm working and swithching between apps and suddenly this will happen.
I'm using the latest Photoshop CC 2017 version in an iMac with latest software Sierra 10.12.4 (16E195). It doesn't happen in Illustrator or any other apps.
Should I uninstall and reinstall Photoshop? I'd like to avoid it, is it a known bug or problem or does it have to do with my OSX System rather than Photoshop?

It just happens randomly when I switch to Photoshop after working with some other app, usually Skype, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Outlook, Chrome, Finder. These are the main apps I use every day.

I haven't updated the graphics card since this is something that is done in the OSX System updates through Apple updates. For the record, the iMac has the lastest OS version possible and also Adobe apps are up to date :)

It really didn't fix the problem. After working on a document, I wanted to use the animation panel that was hidden, so I enabled it and it didn't work. It was unresponsive, I could not move it around the screen or use it at all, so I had to restart Photoshop.

This is a strange issue that has only recently appeared (since latest lightroom update 2015.12). Photoshop (CC 2017 1.1) and Lightroom behave normally until I use the "edit in photoshop cc2017" from lightroom... after doing that if at any point I hide Photoshop (cmd H) photoshop will hide but you can never see it again. When you go back to photoshop, its still running and the top menu bar is still there but all tools, palettes and windows are not visible and there appears no way to make them visible again other than quiting photoshop and starting again. If you don't use edit in photoshop from lightroom the photoshop will continue to hide and reappear as normal when you use cmd H. Would love to know if anybody else if getting this issue and if there is a solution? I have run with new prefs and no 3rd party plugins but the issue remains. Thanks

Sometimes I have a partial freeze and the panels will not work, for example the text panel will remain invisible no matter if you click the button in the toolbar while they are not expanded. You have to expand the toolbars or restart the app.

Hard to pinpoint when it happens, but usually when using Command + H to hide the application, once I try to go back into Photoshop, the entire window no longer reappears. The top bar with File, Edit, etc. is up saying Photoshop is live, and the program does not say to Force Quit. I've tried every type of troubleshooting, from minimizing/ maximizing, all the shortcuts for hiding, etc, and all the view options from Photoshop itself. My coworkers also have this problem. When you quit the application, it still asks to save whatever documents are still open, but it won't show them, it simply shows the desktop background and a popup for saving appears. The only solution thus far is to quit Photoshop and reopen.

Just in case you didn't read this whole topic in which yours was moved in, when you need to see the documents again after the problem happens, please just change the settings to hide/show the application frame in the Window menu. Changing this allows me to use Photoshop again to save the documents and restart - infortunately, zoom doesn't work after this problem happens, so I have to restart again.
Sadly, it still happens for me. I hope they get to fix this as it is extremely annoying.

I'm having problems while merging photos to Photoshop. Usually for the first set of images, Photoshop will merge and I will be able to create my HDR image, but after Photoshop is already open, it will not continue to merge my other photo sets. Is anyone else having these problems? Hopefully Adobe will address this asap. My workaround is to close Photoshop after every 1st merge, so I have to launch Photoshop for every set of images I want to merge after that.
*Update*
So... I did some more troubleshooting and found out that additional images aren't opening in Photoshop ONLY when I minimize Photoshop after an edit.
So when I'm in Lightroom and merging to Photoshop for the very first time, Photoshop opens with no problem and it will continue to merge new images as long as I don't minimize Photoshop. Where the problem occurred, was after the Photoshop edit/merge, I would cmd+h to hide Photoshop. Once I did that, the next images I tried would not open.
