I would like to have TABS at the bottom of a image (like the spreadsheet TABS in a EXCEL workbook) , you edit your image in the main .PSD you are working in and as you process your image you can hit a shortcut and it will create a copy of your image up to that point in time and create a(Excel like) Tab at the bottom of your image, and later on as you do your processing, you can hit the shortcut again and another (Excel like)TAB is created and so on, and then you can compare your different versions as you processed your image, all in one file without having to save Different file's as you go along filling your Hard drive.

Much like the snapshots available in the history palette?
