Photoshop: Document specific grids and grid origins

I work on a lot of different types of layouts and grid systems in photoshop. Sometimes I have two separate grid systems on a single design (the second is usually created by guides, which is a lot of setup). I would absolutely love if grids could be document specific rather than a global setting. Here are the benefits I see from this:
1.When working on multiple projects throughout the day or week, I won't have to constantly change the grid settings every time I need to switch gears.
2. When a client makes a request 3/6/12 months down the road, there's no fiddling with numbers and grid start points until I get it right.
3. When I pass the design off to another designer (especially a remote designer), they'll automatically have the grid system and origin without specific instructions.

Does anyone else have this problem or think that document specific grids (and grid origins) would be useful?
