Photoshop: Reverted to first saved version

Help! PhotoshopCS6 running on a mac has just reverted my artwork to a version from 6 hours ago. I've saved multiple times since. I can see in Bridge a version from 2 hours back from when I last saved, but on screen all I have are 4 layers rather than 50. History has wiped itself. Any suggestions would be appreciated...feeling very low.

Photoshop can't cause your artwork to revert. You can revert an open document to the state where it was last opened via File -> Revert, but Photoshop cannot do that itself, nor wipe out history that way.

Hi Chris. thanks for getting back to me. I would have agreed this morning, I've been using photoshop daily for 20 years, I've never had anything like it happen before. It jumped from very nearly finished, to just started. No matter now, I've
re done it, not my most fun day. Martin
