Photoshop: Problems with UI on MacOS 10.10 Yosemite

No difference between the text in PS CS6 and PS CC on my Yosemite machine. Good thing I don't need reading glasses though
, the difference between fonts; small is 8 or 9 and large is 10 or 11(compared to Pages font). Pretty small when you look at how much space is on the GUI for either edition. Why not choose a text font size rather than small, medium or large? Would make more sense and people would have a better idea what they are getting...
Just a thought.

Photoshop automatically supports Retina display scaling on MacOS.
And you have the additional choice of scaling the UI fonts in Photoshop's preferences.

So it is not really clear what sort of problem you are seeing on MacOS.

Seriously?
This has nothing to do with scaling. Changing the scaling and resetting PS to a newer resolution isn't a solution for this problem. Allowing the PS GUI to have an option to increase the font size makes more sense. Choosing small, medium and large is stupid!
I plainly asked, " Why not choose a text font size rather than small, medium or large? This would make more sense and people would have a better idea what they are getting..." i.e. a numerical value for the font that corresponds to font size similar to the other types of software that people, the users, would be familiar with.

Really, is it that hard to understand?

That is a topic about Windows, which has entirely different issues with UI scaling (which we are still working with Microsoft to resolve, and already added the 200% UI Scaling in Photoshop CC 2014). You quite clearly said that you were running on MacOS 10.10 - which already has UI scaling support in Photoshop CS6 and later.

That topic also says nothing about the fonts being too small after accounting for UI scaling (which is what you seem to be talking about).

So, no, that topic says absolutely nothing about the issue that you continuously avoid explaining.
