Photoshop: Open multiple smart objects in ACR from Photoshop layers

I need to open multiple smart object layers (created from raw files) back into Adobe Camera Raw for easy re-tweaks of colour collectively.

You'd think (hope) it'd be a simple case of selecting a handful of layers from the layer pallet and getting the same "Open in Camera Raw..." option you get in Bridge? Not the case though.

For example, I have a PSD with 10 odd smart object layers created from raw (.NEF) files. I have to double click on each layer individually to open it in ACR then select "Previous Conversion" to sync its colour with one of the layers I adjusted.

(attached is an example of the ACR window missing what I'm after... the left of the panel displaying multiple images altogether.)

((I just grabbed a handful of unrelated jpegs to demonstrate this... I'm definitely not working with jpegs!))

Would others find this useful? Is there possibly a way to get this already through scripting or actions?!

Thanks in advance

There are two ways to do this:

1. Drag 3 raw files onto an open document. This will place each raw file on a layer. (There's a bit of clicking/hitting return to accept the Camera Raw settings and transform)
2. Use Stack-O-Matic script from here: http://www.russellbrown.com/scripts.html

That's definitely one way Jeff, but that's always been a feature missing from ACR... if i open multiple images from Bridge into ACR, it'd be fantastic if there were an option to Open Objects (linked too!) As Layers, rather than Open Objects as Files.

Might not have been totally clear in the original post but I actually want to go the other way. Open smart object layers from a PSD back into ACR as a collective for colour adjustments... But hey, all part of the same function really, the option to do both would be terrific!

Gotcha. I'm not sure if that's even possible from a script. Might be possible if they are externally linked Smart Objects.
