Adobe Photoshop Version: 19.0 20171103.r.190 2017/11/03: 1143799  x64
Number of Launches: 3
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
Version: 10 or greater 10.0.16299.15

Many times when I resume my laptop from hibernation, I find that Photoshop is stuck and is consuming 100% on one of the CPU cores.

The only way to get Photoshop back up and running is to kill it using TaskManager.

When I used Process Explorer to check out the situation, I noticed that there is one thread that is consuming the CPU cycles, and the thread stack looks something like this:

ntdll.dll!NtQueryInformationThread+0x14
KERNELBASE.dll!GetExitCodeThread+0x22
nvoglv64.DLL!DrvValidateVersion+0xa206

KERNEL32.DLL!BaseThreadInitThunk+0x14
ntdll.dll!RtlUserThreadStart+0x21

From this, the interesting thing is gameoverlayrenderer64.dll which is actually part of Valve's Steam. I have Steam running almost all the time, as I need it for game development purposes.

I'm not sure if the problem is in Steam or Photoshop, but the problem is annoying, as I might have had some unsaved work in Photoshop, and not always can it be recovered (happened once now).

Anyway, I hope this can be fixed somehow.
