Lightroom Classic: Freezing computer when using crop tool

Whenever I use the crop tool, I am forced to do a hard reset on my computer. The entire system freezes. LR Classic CC is unusable.

A system hang or freeze requiring a computer restart usually means a low level failure such as a driver (bad video card driver, etc), failing hardware (hard disk, video card, etc.) or damaged OS installation.

In this case, I'd suspect the video driver or disabling Use Graphics Processor: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq.html#troubleshooting

Driver is up to date. Running a Radeon RX460. No other failures have been reported in Windows. All other applications, games, CaptureOne, On1, AceDSee, et cetera are running fine without issue. Its your software.

same problem, never had it until upgrading to classic.  whatever Adobe did, undo it please!

classic is jerky, slow.

I am having problems with my early 2008 Mac Pro with OSX El Capitan 10.11, freezes the computer completly. I open LR Classic and  I have to reboot is imposible to use. I Can run Lightroom CC 2015 and Lightroom CC without any problem.
