Photoshop: Name layers by image name

NEW LAYER NAMES, I often use more than one image in a composition, layered, and would like to have the image NAMES to appear in the layers panel, rather than LAYER 01 , LAYER02, LAYER03, so that I can go back to a layer(image) and know what the file name is of that IMAGE, should I want to add another one of those images in a different layer. So instead of seeing LAYER 01 I want to see _MG_00234.jpg or what ever the image's file name was, I dont know how this could be implemented, either at the top the image/screen in a Tab or somewhere in the layers pallet, just a easier way to recognize the image than having to go back to your raw images and spot which one it was, thank you

OR the option( tick a checkmarkbox) to save the layer names of a stack of photos iniatially as file names not layer names and then new layers that are created as LAYER 01 ...02 etc

The File>Place commands and dragging a file into an open document already do this - as does File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack.
