Photoshop latest update Bug?

Just updated Photoshop 2020 with the new content aware/lens blur additions but now my lasso tool, polygonal lasso, magnetic lasso, spot healing brush, patch tool, (and others!) are acting strange. When I use the lasso tool  to draw a selection around an object the tool shoots a thin line of selection beyond what I want (hope that makes sense). Other tools have a similar issue...for example, using the clone tool results in a section of the background being affected as well as the section being cloned. I tried deleting the preference file but this didn't fix things. I also tried resetting the tools but that didn't work either. I uninstalled the update and went back to the previous version and all is well now. A bug?

Same happening to me, primarily with paintbrush and any other tool you can create a line with a mouse including but not limited to eraser, smudge, clone tool, healing brush etc. Once I finish the stroke and release the left mouse button then a further diagonal line is automatically drawn up the screen and to the left, towards what appears to be a fixed point far off canvas.  This only happens if I draw any length of line.  If i just tap a dot, this doesn't happen.

I'm not seeing this behavior on my Windows 10 system. What OS version are you all using?

I'm still on Windows 7 at present.  Hoping to upgrade shortly.
