All what happens is when I try to open Photoshop CC 2015 my computer freezes and I get the blue screen and have to restart and this has happened a lot recently.

Any ideas?

A blue screen (BSOD aka kernel panic) means that you have hit an OS bug, a low level driver bug, or a hardware defect on your system.

Applications cannot cause a BSOD, they can only call parts of the OS, drivers, or hardware that have an existing defect.

Check the details on your BSOD screen, or in the system reliability reports -- the most likely cause is your video card driver. The second most common cause would be defective RAM.

Hi Chris,
Thank you for this informative reply.
I will do a hardware scan to see if anything is wrong, it just happens only when I open Photoshop not any other program.

Regards.

Photoshop uses some APIs that most other applications don't - especially related to the video card (OpenCL, OpenGL).

Again, check the details on the BSOD. And it can't hurt to update your video card driver from the GPU maker's website.
