Photoshop filter previews not working on Windows 10

I switched to Windows 10 from 8. The apps inside of Photoshop don't seem to work. Smart Sharpen, despeckle, reduce noise won't function. The effects (wave, ocean ripple etc.) doesn't work. I can't see the reviews in any windows.

What can I do?

How are the filters not working?

A lack of previews could be caused by a video card driver bug. Have you updated your video card driver from the GPU maker's website?

Note - Photoshop doesn't have "apps" inside it, just commands within the Photoshop application.

I check the video card and windows have a genetic one hook up. I knew that they wasn't apps but didn't know what to call them. But the effects doesn't seem to work. I do photography and sharp, smart sharp, the water effects. None seems to work. In the history field, it says the effects have been done but they haven't. I just bought Photoshop 6 and I hope it corrects the problem.

You need to install the correct driver for your video card/GPU, preferably from the GPU maker's website (drivers from Microsoft are years out of date).

Which specific version of Photoshop are you using?
Photoshop 6 is over a decade old, and Elements 6 is over 8 years old.
Could you be referring to Photoshop CS6?

No. I was trying with Photoshop 5.5. I just bought 6. If that doesn't work I probably join the cloud
