Photoshop iPad: change hidden (off) layer icon to the dark color, and visible (on) layer to bright. Right now it is counterintuitive.

QoL suggestion: change the hidden (off) layer icon to a darker color, and visible (on) layer to a brighter color. Right now it is counterintuitive.

Although I think I see where you're coming from—normally what's unavailable is "grayed out"— I prefer the eye icon when OFF to be bright. It attracts my attention so it's very easy to spot and avoid or turn on.

I use the Detail view almost all the time, btw.  The off icon is big and bright and bold in the middle of the Compact view—impossible to miss whatever color they make that icon, but with the dark outline and white interior, it seems to show up well against any background.

Definitely agree about using the Detail View, Cristen. On desktop, the visible state has a bright icon (and no icon for the off) so it's hard for me to adjust to the reverse of what feels familiar haha.

I get that. I think in some ways, though, they're going to change things around because they think it works better. Remains to be seen if we agree, and this herd of cats probably doesn't agree on much of anything.  LOL

I don't think it would do to have an "Off" nothing there state on the iPad, at least partly because it's in the wrong place for us to even know anything could be there.  Not an easy call, certainly. I just like OFF bright and visible, especially since I can't select on the document itself. I have to always go looking for the layer I want.
