Have you ever had any or all of following scenarios while working with Photoshop:

1. Being involved in project where related images were given to you by customer without any information about the source and rights of use? So you felt uncomfortable and have spend a lot of time browsing over the web trying to find possible origin of those images? Did you felt uncomfortable and have spend a lot of time browsing over the web trying to find possible origin at stock and verify rights of use? You can also reverse this scenario - have you ever wonder if your images that you have published to the web have started living own lives on dozen of websites without your consent?

2. Started a new project. Make a draft / initial vision of a direction where you would to go with a hope that you design something fresh. How you can quickly research if there are already designs published which may look similar to yours?

3. Working on a project that contains a text that is already flattened or converted to curves, you have no access to it's source but you need to modify it anyway. Are you happy with manually rewriting everything from scratch?

I've experienced all of them while working in graphics industry in the past. Currently I'm using my programming skills to solve similar problems automatically thanks to the Cloud and machine learning. I think that graphic artist should spend his time on creative tasks while redirecting the other boring, repeatable, or search intensive tasks to computers.

That is why I have created Krasbit Recognition script for Adobe Photoshop.

I believe it may be useful for a lot of Photoshop users and I will be happy to hear any feedback.

Btw there is already piece of image recognition built-in Photoshop. You can't open banknotes images in Photoshop.

Yes, Photoshop has lot of recognition built in.  Liquify face detection feature is probably mostly used. Interesting story about banknotes recognition... I was not aware about that.  Summarizing, there are use cases where image recognition may work locally, standalone and fast and the others where image must by analyzed and compared in the cloud
