Photoshop: Improvement of the Filter Gallery behavior

I have an idea how to improve the behavior of the “Filter > Filter Gallery”.

The current state:
Many filter effects of Photoshop are nowadays contained in “Filter Gallery” because it is useful. When you choose a filter you like from the Gallery it will be applied to the image and at the same time the History window will be updated. However, in the History window you will not see the name of the filter you just applied but the name of the filter explorer - i.e., the “Filter Gallery”. Since most of the filter effects are nowadays contained in “Filter Gallery” the History window is often filled with meaningless references to “Filter Gallery”. The history window may for example look like this:

Based on this history log it is difficult to go back to specific state unless you click on every state in the log and check the result. I am sorry to say, but the history log at this stage has the same value as a stand-alone undo button.

The current behavior of the “Filter Gallery” complicates even more the work with “Smart Filters” because there you can change the order of filters applied to the smart object.

My proposed behavior:
It is simple. Any time you apply a filter from the “Filter Gallery”, in the History window you will not see reference to the “Filter Gallery” but to the name of the specific filter you just applied. For example when I choose the “Neon Glow” filter from the “Filter Gallery” in the History window will be new state called “Neon Glow”. The same applies to work with “Smart Filters” or with Photoshop “Actions”.

I hope you will find my proposed behavior of the Filter Gallery useful and will consider implementing it.

Thank you.
