Photoshop: Import PDF aspect ratio not honored when hitting image size limit

This problem occurs when importing a PDF into photoshop.  In the Import PDF dialog, if you choose a high resolution such that the width or height exceeds the maximum length (32,000 pixels for me), that dimension is simply capped at 32,000 without computing the other dimension to honor the aspect ratio of the imported PDF.

So if you choose a high enough resolution, you'll cap both dimensions and import at 32,000px wide x 32,000px tall .. even though the PDF document may be 20in wide x 10in tall.  The result is a distorted image from the original.  There is no warning or indication from the dialog that this will be a problem.  The 'constrain proportions' option doesn't help either.

This caused a big problem for me as I was working with large PDFs that I wanted to rasterize at maximum resolution and crop small sections and combine.  I was relying on aspect ratios to be honored and it took a long time to figure out what was going on.
