Photoshop: How do I make a logo transparent?

hi i am trying to make a logo transparent how do i do that?

Select the layer, copy, paste into new layer, delete the "background" layer.
If the logo is on a solid color background, you can use the "magic wand" tool to select the background, then go to the top menu "Select -> Inverse"

After removing the background, export as PNG to be able to view the transparency.

All depends of your image. PS is a bitmap program to edit images. To remove a background you have different ways to do it, but at last to keep in transparent background is also related to the save or export format that you choice.

The standard image format is JPG, but this format is gonna keep a white background. Your best selection is to use .PNG or .GIF files.

A big number of users prefer to work logos using a Vector images program like Illustrator or Corel, but all is related to your export filename type.
