Photoshop: Gradient angle difference between versions

When a PSD file that was saved in Ps CC 2014 contains "Gradient fill adjustment layer" of the "Angle" style is opened in Ps CC 2015 the angle of the gradient will not look the same. Thus the image file created in Ps CC 2014 cannot be edited in CC 2015 because the file compatibility is not preserved.

The 15 degree angle gradient created in Pc CC 2014 looks like this:


The same gradient loaded into Ps CC 2015 look very similar:


But the image generated by Ps CC 2015 is actually different. This is the computed difference between the two images:

maybe they're compensating for the movement of magnetic north?

A bug in the gradient angle calculation was fixed in CC 2015 to make the angle calculation much more accurate.

I have also one suggestion for improvement if you don’t mind. The line that defines the interface between two colors is not smooth, but looks like a staircase. I think the presentation would be nicer if Photoshop would use some form of anti-aliasing when drawing this interface.
