Photoshop glitch “Gaussian Blur” effect. A pop-up message: "Could not complete the Gaussian Blur command because of a program error." I came across this every now and then... ie. Glitches that pixelated the image (corrupted the file totally & I have to start from scratch) – but often the issue went away once I restarted the computer... This is the software issue?... and how can I fix this please... need your advice. (found similar issue from Googling – a few people had similar issues but in late 2016 – no recent comments about this). Photoshop CC 2017 version 18.1.1. Thank you

Hi Sav,

Sorry for the frustration. There were some program error related issues that were fixed in the latest release, 19.0.1, which became available Monday night of this week, but I realize you may have good reason for wishing to remain at your current release.

What OS are you running and what version? Next time it happens would you make a note of the exact steps that you took before you got that error? If it's something that you can reproduce, it is often very helpful to send us a screen capture leading up to the error and the file that you were using when it happened (if you're comfortable with that).

Thanks,
Hannah Nicollet
