Photoshop gesture support on Windows 7 Pro using Cintiq Companion 2

Are there plans to support gesture support (pinch, zoom, rotate, pan) when using a Companion 2 attached to a PC running Windows 7 Pro, Photoshop CC? At present I have not had success getting this to work.

When using the Companion 2 as a standalone tablet gestures work great in photoshop. But, the Companion is running windows 8.

I'd really appreciate some input. If this is not possible I will likely return the tablet.

Gesture support in Photoshop on Windows requires Windows 8.

Ok, so there are no plans for support in 7?

I'm not sure I want to take on the risk of updating to Windows 8. Currently running Win 7 Pro, 64bit. I use lots of other software (Autodesk, Unity, Crytech, Adobe, Zbrush) and updating to 8 could result in stability issues.

Thanks again.

No, the APIs we need do not exist in Windows 7.

Is this true for all models of Cintiq tablets?

Yes, the Photoshop gesture support uses APIs only available in Windows 8. The model of tablet has no impact on the availability of OS APIs.
