Photoshop generates spurious errors on batch jobs in folders managed by Bridge

Bridge creates files with extension .xmp in folders it manages. If you run a File -> Automate -> Batch specifying a folder that Bridge manages, then you get many (in my case 100's) of errors of form:

File: "D:\Shared Data\batch\diamond_010091b.xmp"
Error: Could not complete your request because Photoshop cannot recognize the file extension. (-25600).

A work-around is to set it so it logs errors to a file instead of stopping, but still annoyoing.

Also noticed an error in log file with system file "Thumbs.db" - these should be ignored by photoshop as well.

That's because you've told Photoshop to open an XMP file - and Photoshop can't read an XMP file.
And Thumbs.db would also give an error, because Photoshop doesn't recognize .db files.
