Photoshop express for Android (version 2.3.464 installed on LG G3 D855 with Android 5.0):
The app crashes all the time when editing. It can take 1 to 5 minutes, but it always force closes and all work is lost. I was excited about high quality tools (clarity, vibrance, sharpening, noise reduction...) but this problem makes the app totally useless. (I've already purchased for premium filters and advanced tools, so I can not use them)... Tha'ts a shame! Please fix it!

(After fixing this issue, please add missing basic tools: custom vignette, adjustment brush, blur... and the app will be excellent)

Thanks.

PS Express works fine on Android 5.0. What photos are you editing? Are they camera photos?
Is it happening with all the photos or is there any specific step where it crashes.

Thanks for reporting

Thanks for your answer. Photos are jpeg files from 12 to 16mpx, some from camera and some imported from other sources. It always crashes randomly when you are editing for a while, acumulating several adjustments. I usually want to adjust clarity, sharpen, noise, exposure, contrast, shadows, whites, wb and tint. I can never finish an editing because it crashes when I have adjusted 4 to 7 parameters.

Any news about this? I purchased both advanced and filter packs so I think I deserve the app working in my G3. It's very frustrating! Every time I spend more than 2 minutes editing a picture the app quits and I lose all my work! It's not a specific step, it happens randomly when you have switched between several adjustements tools. Seems a memory issue? Please fix it! Thanks!

Thanks for reporting the issue. Engineering team is working on it. We did not see the crashes. We will need your help to further isolate the issue. It will be great if we have steps which cause the crash.

Thanks

As I said, it's not a particular step that causes the crash. It can happen anytime, while using any adjustment tool or filter. The important thing is that it happens when you have been editing for a while. Please spend 5-10 minutes to edit a 12mpx picture and you will probably get the crash. Try adjusting every adjustment tool, not fast, take your time to do it as it was for real, zooming in, applying a filter, go back to readjust clarity, sharpness, noise... whatever. It's a matter of time, I always get the crash.

Thanks for your help.

Now it come to my mind that I don't remember any crash during the time I used the app before purchasing the advanced pack and the filters pack. It may be a coincidence but it would be worth checking if it could be the problem. Could you please reset my purchase so I can test it?

This happens on all of my Android devices running lollipop or marshmallow. It's a serious and consistent problem. I'm surprised the engineering team wasn't aware of this. Use a real device (not an emulator) running a few additional processes and you will be able to replicate it in a few trials.

The app is randomly crashing with most of the photos:

1) direct after loading photo

2) during editing

3) during scrolling the list of presets or tools

4) during save.
