When I adjust pictures with the Photoshop Elements under Windows 8, after appr. 30 pictures photoshop elements encounters a problem and shuts itselfs down. The problem is very irritating. When I want to ask the question in the forum, I have a loop to sign in again and then the page is not accessable anymore.

Do you mean it crashes? If so, what does the detailed crash report say? (check the windows system event viewer for details)

Or is there a different error message?

What version of Elements are you using? Have you installed all the updates?

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean with the windows system event viewer and where this program is. But I added a picture of the screen (it's only in Dutch) of the time Ph. Elements shuts itselfs down.

The system event viewer is a program that come with the OS. It's where you get details on the crash.

In the system viewer, no crashes of photoshop are stored and reported (see print screen as picture). I also had the impression the message is not send or stored. Today I worked with Photoshop from 10.30 till 22 h and the system shuts itself down every 20 -30 pictures, at least 6 times today. But I don't see this in the system log.\

If an application crashed, then the data should be there.
We especially need the name of the faulting module.

But if your entire system is shutting itself down - that's another issue. That means you probably have defective hardware in your machine.

There was no data in the system view (as you could see on the print screen). The computer is not shutting down, only the Photoshop Elements application. All other application (when open), stay open. I have the impression some kind of buffer is getting full and when the applications shuts down, the buffer get empty again. Because it's always after 20-30 pictures (I never counted them, but maybe it's always after the same amount of pictures, photoshop elements shuts down). Should I remove and install Photoshop elements again? I never did that after the installation.
