Elements 2018: Can no longer print on my EPSON ET-2750 printer

Photoshop Elements 2018 printed using my EPSON ET-2750 without any problems. Today I ran the Epson-recommended upgrades to the printer firmware and driver. Elements will no longer print on this printer.

When I run the print dialog from the Editor File menu choice, I can select the ET-2750 printer. I can open Printer Properties and change values.  The print dialog shows that the ET-2750 printer is selected, but when I press the Print button, it sends the picture to an old printer that's not online.
The ET-2750 printer is my default printer in Windows 8.1. I can print photos with other software after this printer upgrade. 
I have closed elements and rebooted my computer, but the same thing happens when I try to print.

You'll need to completely describe which print driver you installed and how you did it, whether it was a print driver upgrade or if you downloaded software randomly to write over the driver software.   Likewise, you need to provide exactly which driver was installed.  Chance are, you installed the wrong one and it's printing to an old printer.   Windows doesn't mix print drivers.   And this has nothing to do with Elements.   Get the exact info then maybe I might help with this - or not.  This is a Windows problem not a Photoshop problem.   Optionally you could always check with Epson technical for which drivers you have and which to use.   Normally we use the driver sets to upgrade directly from the driver which points to the correct one.  You may have used another.

I agree the problem will be in the printer driver. There are so many different lots of software out there that it's sometimes difficult for drivers to match.  Windows does an update and everything around it throws a wobbly and that could also be the problem. Making sure you have the latest and Correct driver would be my first step.

On the Epson site at https://epson.com/Support/Printers/All-In-Ones/ET-Series/Epson-ET-2750/s/SPT_C11CG22201 you will find the latest driver V2.66 (06/18/2018). It is listed on that page under the Driver dropdown. Even if you have previously installed this driver, re-install it. As Ken pointed out Microsoft seems to change the interface to drivers at nearly every update. The driver version that was working prior to a patch may not be working after the patch is installed. 

If you need to completely uninstall the printer driver, type Device Manager in the Search Box and right click on the result with Run as Admin. Find the print and click on Properties. Select Driver and uninstall. After the printer is uninstalled, reinstall the driver from the latest download.

Robert must be confused now.   Robert, in Windows 10, you should have the latest updated print driver.  If there isn't a latest driver, none will be installed.  But if you must install one, go to Settings> Devices> Printers & Scanner> then open the printer, click on the "Manage" button, then click on Printer Properties, and half way down click on New Driver to see if there is an update.  Windows finds the latest driver update, but again, if there is not one, none will be installed.  I out now, bye.

I have experienced where selecting Update Drive tells me that I have "the best driver installed". But there are problems with the device. Uninstalling and re-installing manually has sometimes fixed the problem. With other devices (including printers) I went to the device manufacturer's web site and found a newer driver than what was installed by Microsoft. I have installed this driver and the problem many  times was solved. Why is that?

Manufactures update their drivers after each Microsoft update or patch to cater for how their printer reacts to any changes Microsoft made in the patch or update.

There are 2 ways to reset Windows 10 that has a driver that isn't being recognized.  Apparently you guys have it handled your way.

I appreciate the prompt responses to my posting.
I've tried the suggestions, but they haven't worked. My workaround has been to use the Photoshop Elements 13 Editor to print.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the printer driver (V2.66 (06/18/2018)) .

I've been able to print from every other Windows program that can print photo quality from a .jpg file. Photoshop Elements 2018 Editor is the only software that won't print. I can print from the Photoshop Elements 2018 elements Organizer, but not the editor.

As for further details on original problem:

Running Windows 8.1 on a Dell XPS 8700 desktop with 24gb
The Epson ET-2750 was my default Windows printer, and I had been using it to print from the 2018 Editor.
The update to my Epson ET-2750 was performed by the Epson's software updater program that updated the printer firmware and the windows driver (not some random file I found on the internet).
I probably had the Editor program open, not actively printing anything, but open while the update took place.

The problem is NOT the printer driver. The problem appears to be an internal configuration that the 2018 editor is performing. When I first had the problem, the Print dialogs allowed me to select and configure the ET-2750 before printing, but always sent the file to the printer queue for the Epson X620 which wasn't online. After reinstalling the printer drivers, I also deleted the driver for the Epson X620. Now, after selecting the ET-2750 (Windows Default) and telling it to print, I get an alert dialog telling me it can't find the default printer.

Fortunately, Adobe maintains backward compatibility for PSD files. And, also fortunately, I didn't uninstall Photoshop Elements 13.  I had already decided that if Adobe made Elements subscription software, I'd stick with whatever version I had. This incident confirms my decision.

Hey Robert, ya know what?   We've all given lots of fixes and you say none has worked.  It may be time to get a new Elements.  Your Elements 13 is not responding and even though it may not be that old to you, something is missing there, maybe a .dll file not connecting to your printer driver.   I think it's time to reinstall Adobe if you didn't yet, or get a new one, or even install Elements 14 if you can find a copy.  

We asked to reset Windows 10, reinstall Adobe, reinstall the printer, and the only thing that's left is the way you might have the cables configured but I don't think it's your cables as much as your network cables but it could if you are configured from your network directly to your printer.  Our first rule as Windows technicians is to check cables first and foremost.  I don't remember anything about your cables.  I don't remember you doing a Windows SFC reset.   It might a wise idea to install a new Adobe elements.   I am hearing more problems with the 2018 version so my recommendations, since you've been through this mill already, is to try PSE14.  I hear 15 is like 2018 so 15 is your call.   I now your first message said you were frustrated and angry, but that may be the problem.  Calm down and think of what to do.   A) keep beating on a dead horse, or B) try a new Adobe version.

One last thought: in Windows 10 there is a setting to let Windows manage the default printer. I have had problems printing when Windows decides the printer that should be used. See the attached image for the setting. If this is checked, uncheck it and try again.

Oh, and make sure the EPSON ET-2750 is set as the default printer. I can't remember if turning of the Windows managing the default changes the default printer. Probably does.

That setting only manages the last printer that was recently utilized.
