Elements 14 Brushes Not Working Correctly

I was using Photoshop Elements 14 when all of the sudden my brushes were weird when I clicked on the tablet settings button. I didn't change any of the settings, but I checked the brush settings and my spacing was all the way up to 25, when it should be at 1. I put it back down, but still, my brush looked like the opacity was changing mid-stroke. This happened on every single brush I used. My opacity is all the way up as well. I closed the program, re-installed it, updated it, nothing is working. Has anyone else run into this problem?
This shows the first option in basic brushes when i first picked it and changed the size, nothing else. The second line is when I clicked on the tablet settings button without changing any settings. The third is when I turned the spacing down, but the problem still persists.

Sounds like you selected a different brush preset that had different settings (otherwise the spacing would not have changed).

What kind of tablet are you using?
Are the drivers for it up to date?

I'm using a wacom intuos pen and touch tablet and I just updated the drivers. It didn't do anything though. And I just realized that the brush's spacing was at 25 to start with anyway and I've had this program for a while and never changed any of that to my knowledge so that information can be ignored.
