I was using Photoshop Elements 12, and when I zoomed in and out with the trackpad on my laptop, part of my image turned mostly a certain color, but you could still tell what it was. When I saved the image, some of these same things happened, but it was permanent, and showed up after I opened the image up again. It almost looked like a color palette.

What OS version are you using?
And have you updated your video card driver from the GPU Maker's website?
