I'm currently messing around with datasets, trying to make some really monotonous work much more efficient. I'm using datasets to replace images / logos on various products in several different locations. I can get the images to be replaced, but since I had to rasterize each image before continuing with the dataset, I lose the ability to utilize smart filters, skewing, etc. I could also reduce the amount of dataset information required by using linked objects. If a linked layer was placed in several locations at various angles, sizes, etc., while still keeping the same name. I could locate and replace just one of those linked objects, then let the links update on their own (keeping their properties in place).
