Whenever I switch from the Move Tool to any other tool, while an image is open Photoshop crashes.

I have updated my video drivers with the newest drivers from AMD for my AMD Radeon HD 7000 series. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe Design and Web Suite Premium.

Did this ever work? Or did the problem just start happening? If so, what changed?

What OS/version? Is CS6 up to date? http://adobe.ly/PS-Up-To-Date

And what does the detailed crash report say (look in the system event viewer)?

You are crashing in the ATI video card driver.
Check with AMD/ATI to make sure you have the newest driver version, and that it is installed correctly.
