Two problems. Your Photoshop is unpatched. Make sure have the latest updates installed: http://adobe.ly/PS-Up-To-Date

Second, make sure your Extensis plug-in is up to date or disable it: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2012/07/photoshop-basic-troubleshooting-steps-to-fix-most-issues.html#Plugins

and/or troubleshoot your fonts: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2012/07/photoshop-basic-troubleshooting-steps-to-fix-most-issues.html#Fonts

Thank you. I have done the first two things that you suggested and gotten good results. I will post back if the problem returns.
I really appreciate the fast reply and great resources.
