Photoshop CS6: Extended freezes at random

I recently got a new iMac with Mavericks, and also Photoshop CS6 (I prefer to OWN my own apps!). Everything is fine except that while I’m working, Photoshop will suddenly ‘hang’ — it just stops working.

Usually I’m using a Brush, and when I click on [ or ] to make it bigger or smaller, it fails to do so, and then I find I can’t do _anything_. I hit Escape or Enter, but nothing works. Eventually I do something — perhaps click outside the PS window, I’m not sure, and it starts working again. But this is very frustrating, and time-consuming.

I thought it might be connected with my Wacom Intuos tablet, but it seems to do it if I use the mouse too. I have seen in the forums that other people have this problem, so surely you must be aware of it. Do you have a solution, or are you bringing out an update with it fixed?

Did you install the WhiteWindowWorkaround plugin to avoid known MacOS issues?
