I have CS5 version 12.0.4x32 and freezes when opening at Initializing Menus.
It will not open direct or via Bridge or Lightroom. Has worked fine until now on my IMAC which now runs on Maverick operating system and has done for some time. Don't have any install discs as loaded direct from Adobe over internet.

Have you tried resetting preferences?
Have you tried disabling all third party plugins?

reset preferences - hold down command-option-shift while launching Photoshop.
To disable plugins, change the name of the folder (or individual plugin) to start with ~

Not a clue what has got it working again wether it was reseting preferences or disabling plug-ins or using time machine? But it is now working. One of my plug-ins now needs sorting to get it working again but thats another matter.
Many thanks!
