On the PS start page it would be convenient to have a "Clear Recent Images" button along with the "New" and "Open" buttons

Even better would be to allow us to select the files we want to delete from the Recent Files list, and leave the rest there.
You do know that in the File Menu, which you can access while in the Start workspace, under File > Open Recent, at the very bottom of that submenu is Clear Recent File List?

Yes. I know about the Clear Recent menu item and I think your idea of selective deletes is, as you say, even better. A Lightroom type "X" flag with a "Flag All" checkbox along with a "Remove" button would be familiar territory for us LR types.

I can deal with that, or skip the checkbox/flag since that takes more programming, and we can simply select and click on a Remove From List button.
