Photoshop CC 2015: Removes some of my existing IPTC Metadata

When I open an existing jpeg image in Photoshop CC2015 on my PC, edit and save, some of the IPTC metadata is removed. For example existing email address and web site info is always removed when an image is opened, edited and saved-as.

Hi all

I enter IPTC data into images with bridge but when I open the same image with PhotoShop CC2015 and go to file info there is no contact information in the IPTC field. The general information is still there but all the contact info was stripped out.

Of course when the image is saved the contact information is gone quite a pain in the .......

Any suggestions?

How are you saving the file?

SaveForWeb can optionally remove metadata, and ExportAs saves without metadata.

Does this happen with particular files?

It's not an issue with saving the file. When a file with existing IPTC entries for (in my case) email address and website address is opened in PS CC2015, that info is no longer there. It seems to be removed when the file is opened, not saved.

the usual save as command (as far as I know, there is no save for web in CC2015) and I never used it before either
The happens to all my files JPG and TIFF files new and old (very old)
I even uninstalled and re-installed PS CC2015 today and that did not help

SaveForWeb is still available in Photoshop CC 2015, it just got moved to the Export menu.

Hmm, can you send me an example file that has the data and loses it once saved? Email a link to ccox (at) adobe (dot) com.

As Claudio said. The address information is not there when I upload the file
In any case I will send you two example files

Yes, Windows 7 for me but this was not a problem prior to CC2015 on the same platform.

Tried resetting Photoshop preferences but that did not help
Any other ideas?

Ilan - Opening the CS6 version of your image has the email and website information present in Photoshop CC 2015.1.2. The file saved with CC2015 does seem to be missing that data, but I cannot reproduce the loss of the metadata with the current release.

Thanks Chris

It seems to have fixed itself probably an update so all is working as expected now
