Photoshop CC not printing to HP Z3200 Postscript Printer. Our set up is on Mac Book Pro running OSX10.10.1 linked to Printer via latest HP driver. Printer is seen by the computer and prints fine from other applications. In Photoshop CC there is no "Print Set-up" option in the drop down menu, only a "Print" and "Print One Copy" option. On selecting either of these options there is no Dialogue Box, the Printer does not respond and the print options become greyed out. Please advise urgently we have a serious backlog of work.

Hi Tina,

Did this work prior to upgrading to Yosemite?

Please note - Just updating the driver may not work. You need to delete the driver, delete the printer, install the latest driver then install the printer.

I don't recommend that customers upgrade to a new OS without doing their own testing to ensure that it will work for their needs with their current hardware and drivers.

If it's not obvious, you should never upgrade your critical production environment before testing. Always use a separate partition or drive.

Thank you for prompt response. We do have our main production set up from a Mac G5 running OSX 7.5 and this works fine printing to the HP Z3200PS printer.

However, this is a slow machine and hence we decided to move production to our faster MacBook Pro. We were advised by the Hewlett Packard representative here in the UK to load the latest version of Mac OSX together with the latest appropriate post script printer driver. (Hence we did not try initially to print using the previous Mac OSX 10.9 operating system).

We have deleted the driver and printer and then re installed, but it hasn't changed things. We will do this again now however as you suggest.

All other applications print successfully ? So we infer that there is a Photoshop CC interface problem. Do you agree and if so how do we best resolve ? Regards

Not necessarily. Those dialogs are the driver's. We don't really have any control over them. It may also be an incompatibility with 10.10.

I would try the steps I provided - I would also try creating a clean set-up on 10.9 on a test partition. (Clean OS, clean driver install, clean Photoshop install - e.g. not from a restore or clone from the current system)

I am in the process of clean installs as you suggest. I also note that there appears to be a later photoshop version - Photoshop (2014) which I was unaware existed. Nonetheless, it still seems odd that in all other applications the Print Options Menus all work fine. May I keep you posted ?
