Everytime I place a picture or open a picture in Photoshop the picture crashes. It does open but the colour's are not right and I see blocks 'large different colour' pixels everywhere. Can anybody tell me how I can fix this?

Hi there,

Sorry that Photoshop is crashing while opening an image.
It seems like a problem with either with the Graphics card drivers or it could be a hardware malfunction (specially hard-drive).

Please uncheck the "Use graphics processor" under Photoshop preferences and check if the issue persists.
  1. Choose Edit > Preferences > Performance (Windows) or Photoshop > Preferences > Performance (Mac OS).
  2. Deselect Use Graphics Processor.
  3. Quit and relaunch Photoshop.
  4. You may also refer this article https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html for more info.
Let us know the outcome.

Thanks,
