Photoshop CC - Export As presets / sizes

When exporting large numbers of assets (e.g. icons etc) at different resolutions from Photoshop using the newer "Export As" dialog, it's great that the dialog presents the option to use naming conventions for retina assets - 2x, 3x and the like.

What I feel is really missing here is the ability to save a set of sizes as default, applying them to new documents created. FWIW, I tried recording this in an action and the Export As step wasn't even recorded, let alone the sizes themselves.

Absolutely! This is a necessary improvement to a good idea that feels kinda half-implemented.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Photoshop: Export As: Scale All: Save Preset.

This seems like the next obvious enhancement to an already cool feature.

The Export As dialogue is a big part of my routine, but it could certainly be quicker to work with.

I couldn't possibly explain my ideal setup for the "Export As" dialogue. So I took a stab at trying to convey my ideas in an altered design of the interface.

This is my dream:

  1. Checkbox option to use original file name
  2. Add custom name or custom prefix
  3. Load Size/Scale presets
  4. Load Suffix presets
  5. Scale All > New Settings
  6. Scale All > Trash Current Layout
  7. Save Custom Scale Preset As

That's my wishlist.

Absolutely. So far, yet another great idea only executed at 50% and without usability in mind. The ability to store presets, or at least like the legacy "Save for Web" dialog which at least kept the last used settings would have been much better.
