Ok... so i downloaded photoshop CC and it's up to date on the updates but when I go to Liquify, all i see is the hand, and it will not let me use any of the other tools. The space bar button is fine and not depressed, and the rest of photoshop works and behaves normally. Any ideas on how to fix this?

You don't say what OS you're on, but if you're on a Mac, perhaps this helps?

For what it's worth, i tried what was mentioned in the link you provided... no success yet... I even tried reinstalling the my wacom driver as someone mentioned that may be the problem... nope...

I don't really know what's causing the problem. I'm not running Sierra yet, but I haven't heard of those who are having this problem in particular come up again. Have you gone through the usual routine of deleting your preferences, and if that doesn't work, uninstalling and reinstalling? I'm afraid if that kb help didn't help, that's all I've got.
Hopefully come Monday someone from Adobe will pop in and see that it's an issue not getting resolved.

It's a Wacom specific issue: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/hand-tool-stuck-liquify-photoshop.html We're working with them to try and solve.

I am running sierra... I really dont know what happened but after
trying everything and nothing working, i woke up one morning and it's
working, for now. I dont know what fixed it or what broke it in the
first place, which makes me a wee bit nervous. I do have a slightly
older wacom bamboo tablet in which there are no new firmware for it, so
probably to be safe, once tax return money comes in, we'll get a new
wacom with a new driver just to be safe.

and that's the thing, i initially tried everything on that link and it still didn't work... i really have no idea what changed after that, if any, that made it start working... I have been using my wacom on my laptop more, so it hasn't been plugged into my imac as often as it used to be, perhaps that's what did it... but here's hoping...
