When I try to open photoshop the logo picture opens on my screen , I also get a message box which says “ Could not synchronize the colour settings because of a program error.”When I click on OK I get the little colour wheel which continues to spin eternally. And that’s all I get.How do I fix this?

Howdy Christina,

Have you tried trashing your Photoshop preferences on launch?  When did this last work for you?  What's happened on my computer since then?  Have you changed your video card or monitor?  Installed some software?

Thanks,
David

I can’t even launch the program. This hasn’t worked for me since I changed from a PC to a Mac.

I have just uninstalled photoshop from my Mac desktop and am trying to reinstall it.
Photographing to show you what I have. How long do I have to wait?

Hello Christina,

You can just go ahead and install the app.  There's no waiting requirement when you uninstall and reinstall.  You might need to reboot your OS, however.

Please let us know if the reinstall worked for you.

Thanks,
David

Thanks David. I have rebooted and tried to install, for the last 1 3/4 hr it has been sitting on 99% . That’s as far as I can get it.
And Bridge is still “waiting”

Howdy Christina,

Have you tried to trash your Photoshop preferences on launch?  The Creative Cloud app shows that Photoshop is installed?  Do you have any other CC apps installed?  Do they open?  Which MacOS are you running?

Thanks,
David

Photoshop has now installed but won’t open.
How do I get into my photoshop preferences when my photoshop won’t open?
I don’t have any other Cc apps installed but have had Lightroom in the past and it did open and I tried it.
I am running macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6

Howdy Christina,

When you say that Photoshop won't open, how are you trying to launch it?  Are you using Creative Cloud or are you double-clicking on the icon in the Application directory?  To trash prefs on Mac on launch, hold down OPT+CMD+SHIFT immediately after double-clicking the icon.

Hope that helps,
David
