Photoshop CC 2018 crashes when 'print' is selected in the 'file' menu but only with images printed using previous Photoshop versions. This is serious as I am trying to print more of my Limited Edition prints for sale at a Print Fair very soon. Anyone able to help please. There is no problem with any new images that have never been printed before. Any help please. Howard Denner

Try holding down the spacebar when you select Print. This will ignore the prior print settings.

Did you recently update your OS or printer drivers?

Has a patch been made to correct this problem? Holding the spacebar works sometimes but it doesn't.

If the spacebar-trick does not work you might consider downgrading -  I did due to a specific bug (image always center on screen when scaling). Almost downgraded InDesign too - but Adobe patched it.

Hi. Thanks for responding quickly. Unfortunately the space bar trick doesn't work. I am able to print from Lightroom so it's not a total disaster but It's a bit crazy that PS print causes a crash. May have to revert to CC2017

I bit the bullet & reinstalled CC2017. All my old images now print fine - great relief. Not impressed with Adobe releasing upgrade with such a fundamental flaw.

What OS are you on? Did you recently update your OS? You can roll back a version of Photoshop but the print code hasn’t changed between versions. https://helpx.adobe.com/download-inst...

I have been having this issue for the past 18 months. Adobe have taken over my system at least 10 times, and have never fully fixed it. They have blamed my PC (I have changed it and have used 3 in total), they have blamed my network (even though I have informed them numerous times I am not on a network), they have blamed my printer (happened on my 2 old printers and my new one), they have blamed Windows (all updated, and I have used 2 versions since this issue started) etc etc. They have told me there is no issue, so no patch needed. They have wiped all my settings from my printers, and did something which my PC didn't like so I have to get that sorted. Every time I contact them they treat it as a new call and say 'wow this hasn't happened before......' I basically get fobbed off by Adobe every time I contact them....

I have been having this problem since I downloaded updates to my CC suite a few weeks ago. Tried holding the space bar, but it didn't work. Photoshop is a bit useless if you can't print. Reading this thread, doesn't look like Adobe has been helpful. Suppose I'll try to roll back a version.

Update: Rolled back a version & still can't print:(

Beyond annoying. Not sure what I'm going to do. Adobe CC is practically useless since I can't create PDFs.
