Photoshop CC 2019: Clone tool with Mode: Color not working

Hi. I am on Windows 8.1 (not upgraded to Windows 10 yet and therefore not able to upgrade to PS CC 2019). The clone tool is not working in the Mode: Color. I use this to hide/paint on unwanted flare in a picture. Is this a known bug?, because it worked in the past.

Hi R, I'm not able to reproduce this. I get the same results with CC 2019, 2018 and CS6.

I just wrote an article about this very method and used Photoshop CC2019 to make the screenshots. No problems on my Macintosh.

Thanks both for responding. Must be a bug in my own system then. There a 1001 ways to do something in PS, so I have to find an other method.

R Smallenbroek, you have a positive attitude and I won't give up on PS either just yet and I have several issues. What is sort of ironic is, just today my clone tool has gone away and before I write here and make a fool of myself is I look around first. This one, I have I have not seen before, no brush shows when I want to reproduce an area somewhere else on the picture. It is not that it is 'missing', the [caps] [lock] is off, I now have a clone stamp icon instead of a brush. That is a first for me. Good Luck!
