Photoshop CC 2018: Arrow Keys Not Working in Type Tool

When using the Type Tool - trying to move the cursor within a block of text closes the text from further typing.   Intermittent issue.  If you create a new batch of type (rather than editing existing), it seems to work ok.

How to recreate:

(Using DIN Regular font.)

Open file with existing text.
Click type tool.
Click within text.
Use arrow keys to move cursor.

Occasionally happens with Enter Key as well. (Hitting enter closes text, rather than creating new line.)

Are you working with a mouse or Wacom Stylus? I seem to have no problem with the mouse, but I mostly use a stylus, which has given me more problems lately with things sticking to it after scrolling, and this that you're describing with being unable to temporarily access the Move tool with the Type tool in order to move the text. The right cursor shows up, but just as I click, it disappears and commits the type.

I tend to always use Shift-Enter to set up a new line. Force of habit.  But if I do hit Enter within a block of text, I'm not seeing the same problem. At least so far. . .

Same thing here. Other issues with blending mode shortcuts, too, just went back to the previous version. They should have really released this last version as a beta...

cheers,
Matt

Same problem any solutions? Arrow keys randomly close editing the text, same with moving vector points it's nudges it one or two times then it swaps the tool on me. Other random keystrokes seem to go awry randomly :(

Howdy Jack So and Micah,

Are you also running with a Wacom stylus or tablet?  Heck, has anyone seen this problem without using one of those two?  For what it's worth, I'm on every day for hours on both Win and Mac and never do I see this issue...but I'm also just using a mouse and keyboard (the latter in particular could be one of a zillion different kinds, but NOT a stylus or tablet).

Thanks,
David
