Photoshop CC 2016 [Bug] Selecting Layer Groups selects contents of the top-most Group instead when Pen Tool is active

Hi, this is an odd one, and is new to CC 2016.

If you select multiple Layer Groups with path objects inside, and the Pen Tool active, Photoshop CC 2016 will hi-light the paths contained in (the first level of) the top-most selected Group.

Pressing the Delete hotkey will delete the hi-lighted paths, rather than the selected Groups.

The paths highlighted are always those in the top-most (highest) Group, and it only selects the paths in the root of that group (sub-group contents are ignored).

This only appears to happen with the keyboard shortcut - single-clicking the delete icon on the Layer Palette, or via Menus, deletes the groups as expected.

This also only happens if the Layer Groups are collapsed. See attached image...
