When a Layer has an existing "Pattern Overlay", one cannot go into Blending Options > Pattern Overlay and click the "Pattern:" drop-down to see which pattern has been applied. In past versions, clicking the "Pattern:" drop-down would highlight the applied pattern.

• When a Layer has an existing "Pattern Overlay", one cannot go into Blending Options > Pattern Overlay hover over the chosen Pattern, or hover over Patterns displayed in the "Pattern:" drop-down, to see the pattern details (name, pixel dimensions, etc.) in a tooltip. This was possible in past versions of Photoshop

The desired tooltips still exist when one uses Layer > New Fill Layer > Pattern.

This is driving me (and others, too) absolutely bonkers because one must hunt down Patterns they've used for particular layers instead of being able to find them quickly. This Issue has been around for years, but has not been fixed.
What seems to be the hold up Adobe?

So you don't see what I see in the attached? Mac on Yosemite, latest 2015 version of PS? Is that the problem?
