Photoshop CC 2015.5: Problem Saving Changes to a File Located on File Server

Often times when I open a file in Photoshop located on our file server here at work, I get a "Could not save "File Name" because write access was not granted". This is also happeneing with a few other people here. I do have full write access to the drive as InDesign and other Adobe apps can save changes to files in the same location with no issues at all. Seems to be Photoshop specific. Any help that can be provided to help solve this issue would be much appreciated. It's a huge productivity hit to have to save to desktop and then drag to the location and choose replace file each time. Thanks!

My iMac system software is El Capitan 10.11.6 (15G31). I'm not sure what is running on our work server here. Our I.T. runs that. I know that it's an SMB protocol and Windows Server as most of our machines in the system are PCs with Windows. Is there a way I can check in my system settings?

I think you'd have to check on the server itself.
