Photoshop CC 2015, 3D Edit Source mixes up paths

I was working along with the Lynda course "Introducing Photoshop 3D" > "Bending a path around it's center" by Deke McClelland
https://www.lynda.com/Photoshop-tutorials/Bending-path-around-its-center/144016/177595-4.html

Downloaded the trial version of PS CC 2015 (I own PS CS6 Ext, but the 3D user interface is quite different) and the bug where the rendering stops as soon as a mouse is clicked *anywhere* still isn't solved...

Wanted to try something, so I created another 3D object.
Now, when I go "edit source", change something, then save, Photoshop *always* uses Path 1 instead of "path 1 copy".
