Photoshop CC 2014: Welcome Screen pops up and Freezes Program

I can load but then the welcome screen pops up and locks everything up.

how can I shut that off or fix issue

Usually a this occurs when anti-virus software is out of date. If you disable your anti-virus, does it load normally? If so, update your anti-virus and try it again.

Well after 25 Minutes it finally populated and I was able to disable.

I'm with you, Asset Marketing.

I've disabled antivirus, waited a long time, uninstalled+rebooted+reinstalled+rebooted...and nothing seems to fix this issue. I'm literally paralyzed.

Just let it sit and when it does come up. (Mine was 25 Minutes) disable at bottom

This is unacceptable. I am using Photoshop in a production environment, I do not have time to sit around and wait for a welcome screen to populate. Please fix this issue immediately Adobe.

After waiting 10 minutes, the screen loaded and I was able to check the box that disabled it in the future. It seems like it will only reemember this setting until I update Photoshop again through Creative Cloud.

Is anyone seeing this on second launch of Photoshop or does it only happen once? We've been unable to reproduce this in house.

I just had this issue the other day.

I killed photoshop from the task manager started it again. This worked around the problem.

@Adobe, the problem is NOT solved. Please fix this asap. A welcome screen blocking the program, especially for not-so-novice users, is silly. And to be brutally honest, I couldn't give a rat's bum for a welcome screen if I need to get to work.

I only began experiencing this issue after I had my motherboard, CPU and memory replaced.

creative cloud won't load up properly, had to sign in to the software again, and the welcome screen remains blank and the program stays frozen... I hope it populates after who knows how long like others have stated..
