Photoshop CC 2014: Twain scan issue with OS X Yosemite 10.10.2

BEFORE the latest yosemite update the scan plugin was not so bad; it kept the user's presets and the only annoying part was the input of the ROTATION ANGLE: you have to type e.g. "0.5" degrees, that changes automatically into "0,5" degrees; these values can neither be influenced with arrow keys nor is it possible to rotate the frame with the mouse;
AFTER the latest yosemite update the plugin ALWAYS starts with "Text" as the type of original, "100 dpi" resolution, "inch.", folder "pictures", file name "Scan" and "TIFF". AND: if you scanned with 600 dpi resolution and open the picture in photoshop it "magically" has been saved with 72 dpi (positive: no loss of pixels);
specialist's help is more than welcome!

The twain UI is entirely provided by your scanner vendor's code, not Photoshop.
And Photoshop gets the resolution data from the TWAIN source (ie: your scanner vendor's code).
So you need to contact your scanner maker about this issue.
