Hi, I keep my Photoshop CC 2014 up to date with every update. I'm on a 2.3GHz Intel Core i7 with 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3. It's running really slow takes forever to complete loading the software. Any help?

Loading should take 7 second or less on a typical system (and 20 on the worst laptop we can keep running).
Things that could make it load slower: an excessive number of fonts on the system, an excessive number of third party plugins or preset files (that have to be scanned to see what is available), a lot of presets saved in preferences (that have to be loaded at launch). Beyond those, we've sometimes seen bugs in third party software cause slow launches, including antivirus, firewalls, and font managers (all were solved with updates to the third party software).

Two things to try:

1.  Disable font previews by going to the Type Menu > Font Preview Size > None

if that doesn't work and you're on OS X try:

2.  Repairing your OS permissions by loading disk utility (located in /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility, selecting your primary drive, and running a verify and repair of your drives permissions

Both of these have helped users get faster launch times with CC 2014.

Hy.

My Photoshop CC 2014 very slow!!!! My computer Dell XPS ONE, Core i7, 16GB bus memory, Nvidia 750GT with 2GB memory.

The new CC 2014 version not good, it is optimization problem!!!! I use now old CS6, its perfect and fast.

The problem is something local to your system (millions of other users are not seeing it run slow), but we can try to help you figure out what is slow on your system.

Start with the font preview as Adam mentioned above (a semi-common problem due to corrupt fonts or corrupt OS font caches).

If you have any third party plugins, try disabling them. (including any font management utilities)

Make sure any firewall and antivirus utilities on your system are up to date.

Make sure your video card drivers have been updated from the GPU maker's website.

How is turning off font preview a solution! What a terrible suggestion.

All CC programs are slow to start up and my particular system is bleeding edge in terms of processor, ram type (16GB) etc.

After launch, font previews are created in the background and can cause slowdowns due to corrupt fonts or corrupt font information obtained from the OS.

And it is not a solution, but a diagnostic step to identify corrupt fonts and OS font caches.
