Hi I'm running the latest adobe cloud software downloaded directly from the cloud and paying £48 + a month, I have a error i have never had before with the spell check for some strange reason everything else is working at this point other than this as far as I'm aware but can only bet if i have a system error here more will appear.

Im in desperate need of support as this is something i require to do my job on adobe photoshop, Im a little dyslexic and this is vital to my operation in this programme.

Please help

It would help to know what OS/version you're on.

A copy of the error log "PSErrorLog.txt" might also help. It's location on your system is as follows:

Mac: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CC Settings/PSErrorLog.txt

Windows: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CC/Adobe Photoshop CC Settings/PSErrorLog.txt

You may need to use Method two in this document to access hidden user library files in OS X 10.7 or later: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/gl...

Howdy Danny,

Everything that Jeff suggests is good, but I'm curious how your trigger the error.  Do you get it on all files or just one?  Do you get it when spell-checking any language or just English?  Again, what OS and version of PS are you running?

Just so you know, you are not running Photoshop or any Adobe (desktop) app directly from the cloud; the install brings a full version to your desktop.  You just need an internet connection to validate your subscription.

Thanks,
David

Thank you David it appears that the error is no longer there. So all appears to be good.

I am running 0SX 10.9.5 and the latest photoshop CC all updates are currently up to date as far as I'm aware from my update preferences show in the cloud apart from apps that are not installed.

Howdy Danny,

Okay, if the problem comes back, please let me know.  I am responsible for most of the text functionality, including the spelling engine and dictionaries.

Thanks,
David

To me, it turned out that Photoshop CC have an issue with processing character fonts like font awesome when running spell check. Don't understand why they can't just ignore those and run text without crashing.. I've been converting character fonts to shapes ever since and it's super inconvenient as a designer.
