Photoshop CC 2014: Extracting Assets. Masked Layers render incorrectly when content and mask are similar in size

Assets are rendered with incorrect sizes when the mask set for layer bounds is close in size to the actual asset.

When the content is significantly smaller or bigger than the mask itself everything works fine. But when they’re almost the same size (within 1-2px difference) the sizes are messed up.

Could you share a source PSD (via Creative Cloud or dropbox) that exhibits this issue?

The green ellipse path was intentionally scaled without pixel snapping so its size has decimal values.

The real life scenario that made me discover this:

I downloaded some vector icons. Complicated shapes - not pixel perfect. I wanted to give them all the same 32x32 pixel destination document size by putting each one in a separate group with mask.
The final assets have some wonky sizes - not expected 32, 64, 96.

Hmm we do have issues with scaling but didn't think there were any issues with masking. Thanks for the PSD! We will definitely report back anything we find.

That’s the irony. I shoved everything inside a masked group just to be 100% sure everything will end up perfectly sized. :(
